Nagori bed builds its identity on the balance between solidity and lightness. Its solid wood frame defines a strong, rigorous structure, while the self-supporting upholstered headboard softens its visual presence. The structure supporting the cushions rises with a gentle curve, creating a sinuous profile that lends the bed an understated elegance. The generous headboard, supported by a horizontal beam, provides comfortable back support even when seated, transforming the bed into a living space, ideal both for rest and for moments dedicated to reading.
The name Nagori originates from Japanese culture. It refers to the trace or lingering sensation left behind after something has passed, a concept often associated with the changing of the seasons and the passage of time.
"Zanotta is a cultured brand with a remarkable heritage. Throughout the design process, what fascinated me most was the search for balance: on one hand, the rigorous design logic that defines many Zanotta products, often to the point of shaping their appearance and turning them into icons; on the other, the desire to introduce a personal aesthetic language, capable of bringing a subtle sense of novelty to their universe. It is a kind of mysterious recipe, delicate in its balance."
